About the role
We are looking for a Senior SAP Fiori Application Developer (SAP BTP UI5 App Developer Lead) to design, develop, and provide technical leadership for SAP BTP-based application extensibility within the Modern ERP Program.
This is a great opportunity for a senior, hands-on developer and technical lead to modernise legacy ECC custom developments using upgrade-safe approaches such as in-app extensibility and side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP, aligned to clean core principles. This Fixed Term Contract opportunity offers hybrid working, and is Brisbane based with flexible working arrangements.
Reporting to the BTP Lead, and working in a collaborative and fast-moving environment, you will be responsible for the:
Design, develop, and maintain SAP UI5 and SAP Fiori applications supporting S/4HANA business processes
Build clean core compliant solutions using Fiori Elements where possible, and side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP when required
Replace or refactor legacy ECC custom developments into modern, maintainable, upgrade-safe solutions
Ensure applications meet performance, security, and usability standards through consistent engineering practices
Act as a technical lead—guiding development patterns, extensibility approaches, and architectural decisions
Conduct code reviews and mentor developers, uplifting capability and driving development standards
Collaborate with SAP functional teams, integration developers, and enterprise/solution architects to deliver end-to-end outcomes
Support testing, deployment, cutover preparation, and post go-live hypercare including issue resolution and root cause analysis
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you must:
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
7+ years of SAP development experience with strong depth in SAP UI5 and SAP Fiori
Proven delivery of SAP BTP-based applications within large transformation and/or S/4HANA programs
Strong hands-on expertise with SAPUI5 / Fiori Elements, OData (V2/V4), CDS views and annotations
Demonstrated experience implementing in-app extensibility in S/4HANA and side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP
Proven ability to lead technical design, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers in Agile or hybrid environments
