Great opportunity for an experienced Senior Specialist Business Improvement reporting to the Superintendent – Project Controls within the Mining Projects Department.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate the business improvement Blitz program
- Provide technical expertise to identify data-driven initiatives that solve complex critical issues and improve the Mining Projects value chain
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe, structured, agreed and timely manner compliant with company requirements and objectives
- Provide support to develop, coach and mentor team members to continuously improve their knowledge and skills
- Drive and influence proactive safety behaviours within workgroups through visible leadership
Desirable
- Five (5) years Business Improvement/Engineering/Leadership experience in mining environment
- Behaviour consistent with Newcrest values
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed skills in understanding stakeholder needs and requirements and translating these into action plans
- Results orientation, willingness to be part of a sustainable solution with excellent organisational skills
- Excellent relationship building capabilities, combined with strong communication and presentation skills tailored to the needs of the individual or group
- Motivated self-starter
- Demonstrated achievements in improvement and initiative management and leadership
- Team and people management skills
- Lean Six Sigma experience
- Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills and sound financial judgment
- Highly developed project management skills and a solid understanding of solution driven methodologies
