Are you seeking more autonomy, the opportunity to be part of a highly technical team working with integration of renewables and power system SCADA systems within Utilities? We’re looking for a Senior Specialist Engineer Systems to join our Utilities Operations Team.
About the role

The role is part of the Utilities Operations team and will report to Principal Advisor – Network Control. The primary purpose of the role.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SCADA and control system for Utilities Power Network comprising renewables and fossil fuel-based power generation, transmission and distribution.
- Aptitude and acumen in trouble shooting and on - call experience to resolve defects or breakdowns in SCADA and Control System for Utilities Power Network.
- Project management skill to manage sustaining capital projects.
- Manage Interface with Network Controllers, Regional maintenance team, IST and contract service providers.
- Manage governance for change management related to SCADA and control system for Utilities Power Network.
- Key stakeholder in growth and sustaining capital projects related to Electrical Power Systems.
- Proactively assist in achieving decarbonisation initiatives
About you

Commercially astute, you enjoy working with next generation SCADA and control system for Utilities Power Network comprising renewables and fossil fuel-based power generation, transmission and distribution.
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
- Engineering degree in relevant discipline – Electrical / Electronics / Power Systems / Control Systems
- Previous experience, minimum 10 years, in following systems;

Where you’ll be working
You will be Perth based with opportunity to work flexibly from home combined with time in our Operations Centre. The team actively encourages and supports flexible work. This includes workdays, hours and location, in addition to flexible and part-time work schedules. Occasional site travel will be required.
