Are you a high performing Study Lead professional with a demonstrable track record of study development and delivery through all key stages of a study lifecycle?

We are looking for a high performing Senior Advisor Studies to join the Iron Ore Studies team and lead studies to develop our mine replenishment projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity to lead, plan and coordinate major study development across our mine port and rail integrated value chain.

Reporting to the Senior Principal Studies, you will provide direction and leadership across various study phases by managing cross-functional teams, project framing, value management, business case development, option selection, study work planning and assurance with the following in mind:

• Leading studies through Concept, Order of Magnitude, Prefeasibility and Feasibility stages
• Identifying critical project issues and develop appropriate solutions
• Identifying and managing project risks and mitigations
• Managing the study schedule and budget
• Developing the project business case in line with the business strategy
• Identifying and managing key internal and external stakeholders
• Produce the study report and present study outcomes.

What you’ll bring

• Commitment to safety, wellness, environment, heritage and community
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent in an Engineering, Science, Commercial, Operational Readiness or other relevant field
• A Current WA C Class Drivers Licence
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a complex environment with many diverse stakeholders
• Understanding of financial modelling and strategic drivers for a study
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to produce large, complex, cohesive reports with multiple inputs and ability to manage large budgets
• Experience in leading a complex piece of work requiring the coordination of a large multi-disciplinary team.

Where you’ll be working

The Studies, Rehab and Closure team actively encourages and supports flexible work. This includes workdays, hours and location, in addition to flexible and part-time work schedules. Occasional site travel will be required to keep the study and site-based team members informed.
