Senior Tax Advisor

Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

Fixed-term Contract

Support Fortescue's tax compliance activities and the broader tax function, with focus on Fortescue's international operations. 

Key accountabilities will include:

• Review of international tax compliance returns and obligations.
• Accurate provision of international structuring and other tax advice to the broader Fortescue team.
• Ability to interpret complex tax advice and its application to Fortescue's international transactions and contracts.
• Understanding of global Transfer pricing obligations and creating collaborative working relationships with relevant internal and external parties to manage tax inquires.
• Understanding and application of Fortescue’s Tax Risk Management framework including the development and implementation of appropriate tax policies and procedures for the corporate group, in particular focusing on global governance.
• Conducting regular reviews of the tax systems, processes and controls utilised by the Group to ensure they comply with agreed tax policies and manuals.

Qualifications and skills required:

• 5-7 years' in a similar corporate or advisory role
• Undergraduate degree with a majoring in Finance, Tax, Accounting and/or Law
• Post graduate qualification (CPA, CA and/or Master of Taxation)
• International tax experience, including compliance, Transfer pricing and advisory- preferred
• High attention to detail and accuracy
