About the Role
Join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining reliable and high performing mining systems to enable aspirational safety and production targets for BHP Iron Ore operations.
In this role you will:
- Provide technical support (L2/3) in accordance to SLA and ITIL best practices. to Modular systems across BHP Iron Ore business (conventional and autonomous).
- Facilitate and lead issue remediation meetings in collaboration with our technology vendors
- Help plan, execute and coordinate system lifecycle upgrades for on-board and office systems.
- Support Technology commissioning activities for adding, transferring and removing surface mining equipment in our systems.
- Identify, scope and implement improvement projects to maximise system performance.
- Actively improve our safety performance through field leadership, risk management and investigation support.
- Ensure system compliance to our requirements (like cyber and architecture) and on-board technologies are managed in accordance to production needs.
About You
- Good experience in the below technologies:
- Modular Dispatch (Fleet Management System)
- Modular Provision and Bucket Positioning Systems (High Precision Guidance)
- Komatsu FrontRunner (Autonomous Haulage)
- Global Navigational Satellite Systems (GNSS) – Topcon
- Strong Technical and functional support background in Modular Mining systems
- Understanding Service Management ITIL
- Tertiary qualification (STEM preferred)
