Senior Test Scheduler - Green Fleet Testing - 12 month contract

Work Location: Christmas Creek 

  • Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Roster: 14D/14R – FIFO ex Perth

In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Energy Hub whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet. This role reports to the FMG Decarbonisation Manager and looks after the testing operations being conducted at Christmas Creek. The role will include working closely with the FFI Test Principal to produce an executable test plan for the HME assets. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for creating the ‘Daily Test Outlook’ outlook from the prioritised ‘2-week test outlook’.
  • Prioritization of the test procedures to ensure all engineering requirements are met.
  • Provide input to the Test Principal around resource requirement, asset readiness (charge level of BET truck, H2 fuel levels of FCET), availability of GH2 and LH2 from NPI
  • Ensuring Test facility and site readiness
  • Coordination and identifying of Mining and Maintenance activities to ensure efficient Testing.
  • Supporting the Test Principal to produce and execute the daily test plan.
  • Coordinate test criteria in line with Site & Regulatory Safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 5 - 10 years’ experience in Product Development & Testing
  • Project operational experience in Mining and vehicle integration Test work
  • Knowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining Operational systems and processes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or equivalent)
