About the Role
The Senior Warehouse Operator is committed to delivering a safe and efficient warehouse service. This role is based at Caval Ridge working 12 hour days on a 7/7 day/night roster. This roster is either Drive-in / Drive-out from Moranbah or Fly-in-Fly-Out from Brisbane / Cairns. Camp accommodation provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of work to maintain warehouse(s) and yard(s) to a global warehouse standard
- Comply with BHP Charter, the BHP Level Documents, Code of Conduct, and relevant statutory obligations
- Accepting deliveries, unpacking, sorting and storage
- Ensuring holdings of goods in a safe and satisfactory manner
- Control of materials
- Provide night shift supervision for Warehouse team
- Using RF scanners to receive goods
- Safe and efficient execution of warehouse tasks as per Supply procedures
- Ensure all MHE (forklifts, reach trucks) are operated professionally and safely
- Efficient investigation and a professional manner to assist with resolution of customer queries
- Safe and efficient execution of minor warehouse maintenance and binning maintenance
- Liaise with Warehouse and Maintenance teams in a professional manner
- Committed to delivering a safe and efficient warehouse service
- Participation in an environment that promotes teamwork, customer service and action orientation
- Participate in all training provided to achieve the competencies required for the role
About You
- Class C drivers’ license
- High Risk Forklift license
- Reach Fork Operations ticket would be advantageous
- Previous experience within a warehousing environment is desirable
- Hold (or willing to obtain) Supervisor competencies as per site Training Needs Analysis
- Knowledge of safe manual handling operations
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously, or to lead by example
