Senior Wind Power Engineer
Work location: Perth, WA
Roster: Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities:

Wind Power Project Engineering and Design
- Site identification and project concept assessment
- Resource monitoring campaign planning and supervision
- Monitoring data and wind resource assessment
- Wind power plant array design and technology selection
- Power generation forecast and generation profile assessments
- Wind turbine generator Technology
- Wind turbine generator performance analysis and testing
- Environmental impact assessments (Noise emission and shadow flicker)
Technical services for wind energy projects:
- Legislation and regulatory compliance
- Technical assurance
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Due diligence
- Equipment / services scope of works
- Equipment / services procurement
- Construction
- Operation and maintenance
General
- Support ongoing improvement of FFI internal wind power project standards and procedures in relation to all relevant aspects of the development, construction, and operation
- Provide value-adding engineering support to internal and external stakeholders as required
- Develop relationships with and regularly liaise with consultants, service provider and equipment manufacturers
Qualifications and skills required:
- Tertiary Engineering Qualification (preferred Renewable Energy, Energy or Electrical)
- 6+ years in wind power plant engineering and design or construction
- In depth knowledge of appropriate wind engineering software, wind turbine technology, project evaluation and industry best practise plant design methodologies
- Operating well in an environment where there are tight timeframes
- High interpersonal and people management skills
- Problem solving
- Essential language skills: fluent in English
- High level evaluation and analysis skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
