Job Responsibilities

Health, Safety and Risk

• Complete pre-start checks
• Attend and participate in PSI and safety meetings
• Complete Mac 5’s and be involved in the development of JSEA’s when required
• Inspect work area and equipment for hazards, damage and defects prior to commencing work
• Ensure individual compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, Macmahon and Client instructions, policies, procedures and practices

Technical/Operational

• Assist Heavy Duty fitters to service and maintain all mobile plant
• Operate service truck- utilise hose reels for fuel, grease, water and oils from tray of truck (against resistance between waist and shoulder height)
• Climb over the machinery to access and check all grease points, fluid levels and access refilling points - 3 point contact maintained
• Lift hoses up to filling points. Refill fuel, oil and waters tanks on machinery
• Inspect equipment when servicing and refuelling for defects
• Record daily fuel, grease and oil intakes
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of spare parts 
• Record all shift report data correctly and on time (i.e. delays, locations, directions, etc.)
• Keep service truck in good condition at all times, washing and cleaning when required
• Ensure that operational schedules are met in accordance with strategic operational planning
• Ensure all relevant plant is appropriately serviced, maintained, managed and operated

Commercial/Financial

• Operate machine in competent manner without causing damage to equipment
• Ensure work is done correctly the first time to the acceptable standard so there is no rework
• Demonstrate an awareness of costs and financial impacts of the work
