About the role 

This is a permanent full-time role being offered on a 4:3 roster, FIFO Darwin or Cairns.

You will act as the primary interface between the Operations people and Technology. You will own the service relationship which includes leading a team of contractors and managing vendors to ensure they are meeting contractual obligations and work is being completed to best practice.

Some of your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage local operation ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, service request) to ensure service outcomes are released
  • Identify and implement Service Management improvement initiatives in collaboration with business and technology teams
  • Provide technical guidance to the Operational & Technology teams
  • Ensure the right level of knowledge and skills to support the Service Management Platform at the operation.

About you

You will have a solid background working in a similar role within Mining or Heavy industry and your knowledge of service methodologies, delivery and integration processes and procedures in an out-sourcing environment is key to success in this role.

To be considered for the role, you will have:

  • ITIL certification and Degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of contract and vendor management processes and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute, influence and make decisions within multi-functional teams and across all levels
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Customer focused with a passion for making a difference
