About the Role

The role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with Fixed Plant experience, or experience in a lubrication related heavy industrial environment. We are looking for a self-starting, autonomous individual, who will be responsible for the safe execution of all servicing and lubrication works within fixed plant. You will also need to be passionate about continuous improvement as this will be important in setting up systems that support this new role.

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor, your day to day duties will include:

• Maintain fixed plant equipment through sound lubrication principles
• Oil sampling for offsite analysis
• Oil change outs on mechanical equipment
• Routine plant inspections
• Proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical equipment
• Refuelling of plant equipment as required
• Assisting the maintenance team when required

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have: 

• A current manual "C" class driver's licence

• A strong commitment to health and safety for self and others
• The ability to multi task and prioritise work
• The ability to use hand tools, and have a good understanding of mechanical workings
• The ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail, taking pride in your work
• Ability to meet maintenance schedule requirements
• Basic SAP competency
• Willingness to support and work in other areas of expertise when required

It will also be beneficial (not essential) if you have: 

• Previously or currently employed as a lubrication/service technician in a fixed plant or heavy industrial environment
• A Mechanical Trade certificate with 2-3 years’ post trade experience
• HR licence with experience driving a heavy rigid vehicle
• High level of previous experience in a fixed plant role (Trades assistant, another trade background, operator, etc)
• A high risk (LF) Forklift license with previous experience
