About the Role

The Saraji mine is an open pit coal mine located near Dysart in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people. It is one of Australia's largest mines, by recoverable coal reserves. Saraji mines the Moranbah Coal Measures, blending from up to 11 coal seams.  

We are currently seeking a safety-focused Scaffolder and Painter/Blaster to join the team at our Saraji Coal Mine. The roster will be 7 days on, 7 days off, day shift only.

About you

You will be required have the following experience:

  • Intermediate/Advanced Scaffolding certificate (required)
  • Cert 3 in Fabrication and Surface finishing (required)
  • Previous experience within mining is preferred
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team 
  • Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Effective listening and strong interpersonal skills
