Position Title: Serviceperson
Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth or Karratha
Role overview:
The Solomon Ancillary team is seeking an experienced Serviceperson with previous experience servicing mobile mining equipment in the workshop and active mining areas. The ideal candidate will need to be safety and team orientated with good mechanical aptitude.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing large mobile mining equipment
- Changing lubricants & filters
- Work in conjunction with all mobile maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance
- Ensure FMG and site operations procedures and policies are followed
Qualifications and experience:
- HR Licence Preferable
- Experience driving in active mining in service trucks, using mine star software to navigate driving Preferable
- High regard for safety
- Ability to use initiative and work within a small team.
- Exposure to using computers specifically SAP, to enter time confirmations and defect notifications
