About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join our Fixed Plant Execution team as the Shift Coordinator (2IC) at South Flank. Reporting directly to the Execution Supervisor, you’ll engage your team and a group of technical experts to problem solve and drive continuous improvement while maintaining and operating an 80Mt crushing and screening plant. This position is pivotal in leading a high performing team and collaborating with internal processing, maintenance and coordination teams.
Together you’ll optimise throughput and execute maintenance plans to ensure that the iron ore handling plant and train loading facilities achieve safety, production, efficiency and quality targets.
In this role you will:
- Foster a positive culture and an overriding commitment to sustainability, inclusion and diversity and safety
- Coach and mentor your team while supporting their development and personal achievements
- Build partnerships and maintain strong working relationships with customers and key stakeholders across the business
- Support and encourage strong levels of engagement to drive our site safety and performance
- Safely and proactively execute short term production plans to maximise equipment utilisation achieve quality targets
- Monitor and report against the daily plan and escalate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to the Superintendent
About You

- Effective communication with various stakeholders at all levels and across departments

- Leadership skills and ability to engage people from various backgrounds and experience levels, enabling team members to unlock potential
- Strong problem solving skills and a high level of motivation to identify improvements to optimise safety, volume, cost and culture
- A Mechanical trade background and experience working within a processing or manufacturing environment, will be highly beneficial
