About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Shipping Department within the Port Production team.

This is a residential role based at Port Hedland on a 3D/3N/6X roster. 

Reporting to the Port Logistics Supervisor, your duties will include:

• An overriding commitment and passion for health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
• Drive and encourage accountability and culture within the team, promoting positive relationships. 
• Monitor Vessels overall performance during their time at Port
• Act as the interface between the Port Operation team and the Vessels crews
• Communicate with departments outside of BHP.
• Preparation of data and reports as required
• Escalate and propose continuous improvement initiatives and diligently implement changes.
• Execute planned work tasks in a timely manner as scheduled.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

• Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations  
• High levels of organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work co-operatively with other team members to achieve team goal
• Intermediate level skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
• Excellent communication, collaboration & interpersonal skills
• Influencing and negotiation skills for outcomes
• Experience working as a scheduler is desirable
• Experience working in Maritime or Logistics industry is desirable
• Minimum of C class manual drivers license
