The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Shotcreter will provide surface ground support services to stabilise underground excavations, ensuring that operational targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental standards.
This position will be offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Operate the Jacon Transmix 6000 Shotcrete Combo safely and efficiently underground.
- Conduct batching operations and assist in quality assurance/quality control (QAQC) procedures at the batch plant and underground.
- Accurately spray shotcrete onto designated areas according to mine plans and geotechnical specifications.
- Perform equipment pre-start checks, maintenance logs, and fault reporting.
- Assist with general underground works when not actively spraying, including services installation and shotcrete preparation.
- Monitor shotcrete application thickness and quality as per engineering designs.
- Communicate with Supervisors, Jumbo Operators, and Geotechnical Engineers to ensure work is completed to standard.
- Manage inventory of materials including cement, admixtures, and fibres.
About You:
- Previous experience in a Underground shotcreter/sprayer position, operating Jacon and Normet machinery in an underground environment.
- Proven ability to operate Agitator trucks, batch plants, IT loaders and associated underground machinery;
- All valid and relevant qualifications, certificates and licences (RPL's)
- Hold a WA C class Driver’s License
- Possess a Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at heights qualification.
