Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Shotfirer to support our Mining Team on site. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes.  This role will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring safe and efficient blasting procedures
• Preparing, loading, and firing of blast holes
• Monitoring compliance with site procedures, environmental and government regulations

Requirements of the role include:

• QLD Shotfirer’s Licence
• 5+ years shotfiring experience in an open cut coal mine
• Drill experience is considered an advantage but not required
• Proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic and leadership ability
