About the Role
Peak Downs Mine are currently recruiting passionate individuals into permanent roles in our Blast team. We want to hear from you if you are looking to join our world-class operational team. We believe that people are the key to our continued success; having the right people working within our organisation at all levels will allow us to become the safest, most productive mine site we can be and sustain our operations well into the future.
Roles can accommodate flexible travel arrangements and will be on a 7:7 roster.

About You
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- A genuine commitment to safety
- Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results through influence
- Motivated, enthusiastic individual who can work with minimal supervision and engage in team operations
- Current blast crew experience with significant open-cut mining experience (minimum 3 years)
- QLD Explosive Security Clearance and Shotfirers Licence mandatory
- Minimum C Class Driver’s licence required
- HR/MR, High Risk / Forklift, Loader, Stem Truck, MPU and Skid Steer highly regarded
- Leadership courses, S1,2, 3 & G2 Mandatory .
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong interpersonal skills and genuinely wanting to work within the blasting industry.
- Demonstrated reading, writing and computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Passion for continuous improvement to drive individual and team performance
- Digi shot Electronics experience preferred
- Ability to work day and night shift
