About the role

The primary purpose of the Shutdown Planner is to plan and Schedule Shutdown maintenance works in large complex environments and monitors maintenance execution against plans.
Defining, scoping, developing and analysing the asset management plans that deliver the asset strategies and tactics to meet business objectives, aligned to the full business value chain. Developing and analysing asset schedules that detail the logical sequencing and timing of the execution of asset management plans, and optimising resource allocation.

Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdowns, Boilers & Calcinations, you will be:
- Identifying and validating notifications and work requests to consolidate all known maintenance requirements.
- Undertake planning to ensure maintenance work task execution can be performed safely, efficiently and effectively and in support of maintenance tactics.Provide asset scheduling inputs to optimise cost and efficiency.
- Prepare for maintenance activities ensuring that all labour, material and equipment resources are planned for execution.
- Undertake all post work execution tasks and maintenance administration to support ongoing computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) data and systems improvement.
- Collect and collates work management data for review and identification of improvement actions.

Where you’ll be workingLocated in Central Queensland, approximately 10km north-west of Gladstone, Yarwun alumina refinery commenced operations in 2004. Processing bauxite from our mines in Weipa and Gove, Yarwun produces more than three million tonnes of smelter grade alumina annually.
As one of the largest industries in the Gladstone region, Yarwun employs over 700 people and has a large contractor workforce.
With a focus on safely improving our process every day, the team at Yarwun challenge themselves to use existing and emerging technology to support our 24 hour operation.
