Shutdown Specialist - Asset Management
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
Fortescue is currently seeking an experienced Shutdown Specialist to join the Asset Management - Fixed Plant team based in Perth. You will maintain strong relationships with both internal shutdown leadership and vendor partners and will play a key role in driving value from our maintenance services contracts through management of a structured Continuous Improvement program. Through ongoing collaborative site engagement and formal auditing you will identify opportunities for process improvement and support sites in implementing positive change.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Define, implement and maintain best practice shutdown management processes across Fortescue fixed plant
- Manage a structured Continuous Improvement (CI) program with our vendor partners to drive shutdown safety, cost, and quality improvements
- Provide SME technical support to the Procurement function in management of key maintenances services contracts
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal shutdown leadership and vendor partners through regular attendance at major shutdowns across all operations
- Perform formal audits and support delivery of associated improvement actions
- Coach and mentor shutdown execution leadership across all sites
Qualifications and skills required:
- 10+ years industry experience
- Previous fixed plant shutdown and maintenance experience in a leadership capacity
- Strong understanding of shutdown planning & scheduling
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and computerised maintenance management systems, SAP
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong organisational / project management skills
