Shutdown Technical Officer - Electrical
Work Location: Solomon
- Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster:. 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the OPF Central Services Superintendent, this role will be responsible in suppling technical guidance to the maintenance teams, additional labour support and leadership during Mod outages and Major shutdowns. You will also play an active part in improving maintenance practices and strategies.
This permanent full-time position is within the Maintenance Department of our Process Plant Facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance in planning and execution in outages and shutdowns
- Conducting field interactions and completing incident investigations
- Identify, develop safe work instructions for Maintenance plans
- Identify and implement continuous improvement maintenance strategies
- QA/QC critical component replacements during shutdowns
- Supervision of personnel during shutdown activities
Qualification and Experience:
- Electrical Trade qualification essential
- Previous shutdown and electrical maintenance experience and process plant in mining
- Extensive experience in maintaining MMD sizers, Metso MP1000 and 1250 cone crushers and custom and svendberg conveyor brakes
- Proven commitment to safety and demonstrated safety leadership
- Previous shutdown and maintenance experience and process plant in mining
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and computerized maintenance management systems (SAP)
