Macmahon are currently seeking a skilled and efficient Administrative Officer to join the team at BMA Site in Saraji. Reporting to the Project Manager, The purpose of the Site Administrator role is to provide administrative support to the operations & maintenance department. You will  perform tasks safely according to site procedures and responsibilities under Queensland coal mine safety and health legislation.

Key duties/responsibilities include:

  • Accurately maintain skills matrix for Maintenance department
  • Maintain and enter all data into the Payroll system for
  • Maintenance wages personnel
  • Assist with End of Month Reporting for Maintenance department
  • Respond to general enquiries regarding plant and maintenance systems issues
  • Raise purchase orders and requisitions as required for the payment of supplies or services
  • Other administrative duties as and when required
  • Participate in Macmahon’s performance review process
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities leading to safer workplaces, increased productivity and increased efficiencies
  • Actively advocate and motivate others to demand high standards of safety performance
     

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
 

  • Experience in a similar environment (Mining / Civil / Construction)     
  • Business Administration related Qualification 
  • Ideally you will have sound IT skills - Some of the packages you will use are  (MS Office Suite / SAP/ CTS Flights/ FLEX Intelex / Incontrol)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Standard 11 induction
  • Coal Board Medical
  • Drivers Licence (manual)
     

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally you will must provide proof of working rights in Australia i.e. copy of valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification.
