Site Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Macmahon’s Civil entity, TMM Group, is currently seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join the team at Blackwater in a permanent, full-time role.

TMM Group delivers design and construction services to the resource, mining, energy and infrastructure industries across Australia.

Projects typically worked on will vary greatly in size and scope but are predominantly mining based civil infrastructure related including light and heavy vehicle roads, drainage, bulk earthworks, on/off site water management, flood levees and other mine related infrastructure.

This role requires the Civil Site Engineer to perform civil engineering duties in order to provide support to the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager on TMM projects.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

Managing the quality compliance requirements of construction works completed
Assisting in the engagement and management of subcontractors
Assisting with the development of schedules and forecasts
Assisting with financial reporting and management of the project
Daily record keeping, data collection and analysis
Development of cost estimates for variations
Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and being committed to a team approach
Understanding project priorities and deliver the team under self-driven situations 

Key role requirements (essential) are:

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in coal mining
Demonstrated experience in relevant computer systems and high computer literacy
Drivers Licence (manual) 

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:

Exposure to mining infrastructure construction
Standard 11 induction
Coal Board Medical
Ability to effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail
A drive to perform at a high level
