About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Onsite Planner with the relevant skills and knowledge to manage the Maintenance work plan requirements within the week +1 - +2 horizon to enable Operations Execution teams to perform required Maintenance activities to deliver Production targets. The Onsite planner facilitates Schedule lock-in with Operations execution teams. Success in the role is achieved through engagement with multiple stakeholders across the operations to ensure the integration of Maintenance and Production activities to deliver a single integrated plan, providing routine feedback to the Maintenance Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE) to enable continuous improvement. This opportunity is being offered Residential 5/2 or FIFO 5/2/4/3 Roster.
About You
Qualifications and work experience required: • Specific knowledge of planning & scheduling and Work Management process • Rail maintenance technical knowledge • Ability to align continuous improvement initiatives to strategic objectives
Our successful candidate's responsibilities will include: • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety and environment within Rail. • Understanding and implementation of HSE standards/policies/procedures • Drive an inclusive and diverse culture. • Build relationships across functions\departments to achieve positive business outcomes. • Identify, report and rectify hazards. • Strong commitment to the field leadership program and coach field leadership activities. • Accepts accountability for week +2 work schedule including outstanding follow up actions, e.g. following up parts with Inventory Planner. • Manages and adjusts work plan requirements within the +1 - +2 horizon, limiting modifications to essential changes driven by urgency. • Updates schedule to reflect interrupt and / or rescheduled work stemming from changes to Production / supply chain plan, Equipment availability and Work requirements. • Participates in weekly Work Management meetings with MECoE. • Accountable for facilitating lock-in of week +1 plan. • Confirms resources and material availability. • Prints work packs. • Provides feedback to MECoE on draft schedules in a structured way to enable continuous improvement. • Develops and maintains scheduling and planning rules – resource capability / cost equipment availability. • Creates and modifies Master data when required.
