About the Role

The Site Systems Specialist role is a 12-month contract role and will support the Mackay Training & Repair Centre.

Based in our Mackay Future Fit Academy and reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent Future Fit Academy.

The work of this role will encompass:  

  • All administrative oversight of site access requirements.
  • Document control.
  • Active participation, compliance and contribution to the effective operation of BHP’s relevant HSE policies and systems.
  • Working with frontline teams to schedule/co-ordinate training courses compliance with relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting the team with Contractor on-boarding, inductions, integrated contractor management, travel and accommodation, data entry, meetings and team systems.
  • Providing research and reporting as required.
  • Working a 5/2 Mon-Fri roster (please note that this is not a FIFO role).

About You

  • A friendly, enthusiastic and can-do attitude.
  • Strong experience in a similar administrative role, ideally within a mining or training environment.
  • Experience and expertise in Microsoft systems such as Teams, SharePoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • A continuous improvement focus that identifies opportunities for improving processes, creating efficiencies and designing capability improvement.
  • Exposure to document management systems.
  • High level interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong partnerships across a range of stakeholders both external and internal.
  • Need to be highly adaptable and capable of working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
