Ivindo Iron SA is a joint venture under Gabonese law created by the Australian mining conglomerate FMG (Fortescue Metals Group) and the ATIF fund (Africa Transformation and Industrialization Fund) and whose the object is to develop the Belinga project .
This project located in Republic of Gabon, in Central Africa, is potentially one of the largest deposits undeveloped high- grade hematite in the world.
Social and Communities Lead
Location : Residential in Libreville, Gabon
The main responsibilities will include :

Manage alignment of society with respect to its principles of sustainable development and its social impact;

Ensure the follow-up of the various company activities (exploration, production, transport, etc. ) having a social impact: audit, evaluation , reporting , debriefing;

Carry out a monitoring CSR practices and innovations (benchmark) and putting put in place indicators allowing assess progress ; _

Define a purchasing policy responsible for and monitoring action plans ;

Manage all CSR reporting obligations ;

Develop CSR procedures and promote the value of CSR throughout the company ;

Support teams in understanding and respecting CSR obligations and commitments ;

Assist in the development of detailed CSR plans .
Qualifications and Skills required

A Masters ( or equivalent License + experience ) in a discipline related to CSR ( eg Sustainable Development , Ecodevelopment , Environment , etc.)

Bilingual ( English and French )

A first experience successful in sub-Saharan Africa East essential .

Excellent SKILLS in communication and interpersonal relations

Awareness depth and experience in writing compliance reports to IFC standards , especially PS 1,4,5,7 and 8

Ability to negotiate and gain support for new processes

Availability to make trips to the mine site to meet local people and manage their grievances .
