Position Title: Mining Trainer Assessor
Work Location: Solomon. Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 8D/6R/7N/7R
Reporting to the Training Supervisor, Fortescue is seeking a motivated Mining Trainer and Assessor to join the Solomon Training team at Solomon Mine. This permanent full-time position will provide safe, effective and timely training to customers at Solomon. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, customer focused team.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Delivery of a range of machine and mining Training and VOC
- Facilitation of classroom based training
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work autonomously
- Well organized with excellent time management skills and strong attention to details
- Good teamwork culture with a positive attitude and a high level of customer service skills are essential
- Align with Fortescue Values and safety culture
Qualifications and skills required:
- Current Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE 40116 Preferable)
- Experience in all mining machinery including Loader, dozer, grader, float and production excavators
- AOZ experience preferable
- Current HR Class License
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Success Factors
