About the roleWe are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to deliver commercial strategies and sourcing activities on the Ranger Rehabilitation Project.
This role is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced procurement professional who has effective stakeholder engagement and change management skills, as well as a good commercial awareness with a background in procurement. As part of ERA’s Contracts and Procurement team and reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be accountable for management of end-to-end supply chain including but not limited to:
- Completing procurement risk assessments.
- Developing and executing commercial and sourcing strategies that meet the Project’s key priorities.
- Developing and releasing tender packages.
- Evaluating supplier proposals.
- Developing and executing negotiation plans.
- Preparing contractual documentation.
- Managing award approvals and contract execution process.
- Contract administration as well as developing, enhancing, and managing appropriate relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Applying strong problem solving, strategic and analytical capability in identifying further value generating opportunities.
What you will bringTo succeed in this role, you will have:
- Degree/post graduate qualification in Commerce/Business, Law, Engineering or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing roles with high levels of commercial acumen and analytical ability.
- Relevant procurement, supply chain or robust commercial experience is essential.
- Strong influencing, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a strong strategic outlook and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering process improvement initiatives.

Where you’ll be working
Energy Resources of Australia Ltd (ERA) is a publicly listed company with Rio Tinto its major shareholder. ERA has mined and produced uranium oxide from its Ranger mine in the beautiful and rugged Alligator Rivers area of the Northern Territory since 1980. The Ranger mine is located on Aboriginal land, and is surrounded by, but separate from Kakadu National Park.
Mining at Ranger ceased in November 2012 and since then, Ranger has been processing ore from stockpiles.
