Worsley is located in the picturesque south-west and Peel regions of Western Australia, South32 Worsley Alumina is on a journey to become the world’s leading Alumina producer where our 1500 workforce value the lifestyle that Worsley Alumina has to offer. Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future. 

Worsley have a number of Engineering opportunities for students in their penultimate year, across the following disciplines:   

• Mechanical  
• Process Control  
• Process  
• Electrical  
• Mining  

Location:

These roles will be based at our Worsley Refinery or Boddington Mine, where our employees choose to live in the Bunbury, Collie or other nearby communities which all offer an enviable country lifestyle.  

As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in and drive out daily.  

Vacation Program 

Our reason is simple – we’re looking for our future leaders and technical experts. 

With operations located across Australia, our Vacation program runs over a 12-week period and is a pathway to our Graduate Program. Our Vacation Program provides practical and hands-on experience to develop new skills and gain technical, professional and hands-on experience required to build your career and reach your potential. 

The vacation program provides you with a unique opportunity to learn and excel in your chosen career. When you join the South32 Vacation Program you will: 

• Gain practical and meaningful experience at your preferred operation 
• Undertake a project relevant to your degree that you will own and deliver 
• Extend your professional network with colleagues from across the globe 
• Grow personally and professionally in a dynamic, inclusive and supportive culture 

To be eligible, you will: 

• Be in your penultimate year of study 
• Have the right to live and work in Australia 
• Be available for the full duration of the program – 12-weeks, commencing November 2023
