About the role

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Specialist Advisor, Controllership in the WA Operations Controllership finance team.

Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Controllership, you will be responsible for the accounting of the Dampier Salt group.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly reports and analysis, including monthly Flash results & commentary, Quarterly Board reporting.
  • Monthly & Quarterly external shareholders’ reporting and annual plan reviews
  • Support with half-year and year-end group reporting deliverables, including analytical reviews, disclosures submissions and management sign-off packs.
  • Controllership primary point of contact with DSL Finance Business Partners (FBPs).
  • Reviewing and maintaining inventory model, including any quarterly adjustments.
  • Assist with the annual statutory audit process, including preparation of statutory financials and assisting with the external audits.
  • Provide assistance with technical accounting support.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc requests.

What you’ll bring

  • A qualified accountant (CA or CPA)
  • Excellent team player, ability to multi-task and committed to delivering on-time and quality work under time pressure.
  • Strong Excel skills (essential), SAP & HFM (preferred).
  • Sound technical accounting skills.
  • Ability to make connections between business activities and financial information to provide insightful analysis and identify technical accounting issues.
  • Developed business acumen, proactive nature and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Where you will be working

Based at our Perth Hub, in Perth’s CBD. Our team offers flexibility in terms of hours and work location with minimal adhoc travel to site if required.
