About the Role
The Specialist Asset Planning is a key role supporting the synergies between multiple BHP operations, functions and Assets, ensuring that we have a common approach for managing our mining equipment assets, and that equipment selection aligns with our long-term plans.
Reporting to the Lead Asset Planning, this role will support in-depth modelling and analysis and provide recommendations to manage mining equipment.
This team will provide a global view of equipment requirements and key decisions relating to repurposing, re-deployment, purchase or retirement of capital equipment.
This role will ensure that we deliver equipment and asset requirements to meet production demand and our decarbonization plans.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Have an understanding of the practice of end-to-end Asset Management, regardless of industry, together with demonstrated experience in whole of life asset planning and capital expenditure processes including equipment lifecycle costing and supply or procurement of equipment.
- Experience in mining equipment, application, maintenance engineering/and or studies.
- Experience in technical report writing, conveying complex information to various audience groups.
- Advanced skills in manipulating complex data sets and generating reports.
- Familiar with developing and using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
- It is essential that you are a team player who promotes and supports workplace diversity.
Location
In this full-time permanent position, you there are flexibility to be base in our Australia corporate offices in Perth, Brisbane or Adelaide.
You will be working on Monday-Friday roster while flexible work is also offered. Occasional site travel is required in this role and supported by the latest technology to engage with our sites around the Australia and the globe.
