About the Role
Multiple exciting vacancies in our MECoE team in Perth.
The Specialist Asset Strategy and Reliability WAIO Mobile Equipment within the MECoE, focuses on improving mobile and field equipment performance, achieving productivity metrics within the expected budget, supporting the supply chain process across Western Australia Iron Ore operations.
Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Strategy and Reliability, this role will align operating, engineering and maintenance standards, incorporating feedback from different performance systems as well as stakeholders and defect elimination processes to enable optimum performance of equipment across the business. You will have the opportunity to use your specialised expertise to support the delivery of our business plan by ensuring MECoE governed equipment are effectively managed and improvement opportunities identified and implemented through:
- Leading and implementing improvement initiatives that optimise maintenance cost and equipment reliability to support the business plan.
- Engaging with the Operations, Supply, Finance and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to optimise maintenance performance.
- Optimising Asset Level Maintenance Strategies by working with Planning, Strategy Integration, Asset Health, Engineering and Execution sub-functions to keep relevant, efficient and accurate.
- Approve Master Data Strategy (MD) changes and ensures the integrity of Asset Level Strategies are maintained.
- Manages business wide product problems directly with the OEMs to ensure solutions are identified and implemented throughout the business.
- Proactively monitors and identifies performance deviations from targets based on the input provided by the Asset Management Performance team to anticipate and prevent loss.
- Proactively identifying chronic defects of priority equipment and promoting a defect elimination culture by example and optimising maintenance by eliminating defects & waste
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated practical experience focused on mobile equipment in the mining industry, including but not limited to Trucks (including Ultra Class Trucks), Dozers, Wheel Loaders, Wheel Dozers, Graders, Surface Drills and Large Excavators.
- Tertiary or trade qualifications in maintenance and/or engineering.
- Experience in applying your strengths in analysis and problem solving in order to develop business solutions.
- Experience in maintenance strategy management, reliability analytics and defect elimination are highly desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience of managing change through influence.
- Ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple deliverables across stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with regional stakeholders and external partners (e.g. OEM's) to gather requirements and present recommendations.
- It is essential that you are a team player who promotes and supports workplace diversity.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Fleet Management Systems and CMMS Systems (e.g. SAP, APM) is highly desirable.
- Focus on continuous improvement and be passionate about delivering exceptional results.
Location and Roster
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues. Occasional site travel is required in this role and supported by the latest technology to engage with our sites around the Western Australia. You will be working on Monday-Friday roster.
