We are looking for a dedicated Specialist Assurance and Performance to support the execution of our Three Lines of Defence (3LOD) strategy within Global Procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in performance and assurance reporting, risk management, and continuous performance improvement initiatives of our Global Procurement function. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, contributing to the development, monitoring, and optimisation of procurement processes at a global scale.
Assurance and Performance Reporting:
Analyse and compile data for quarterly assurance dashboards and performance metrics, ensuring that all information is accurate and aligned with key objectives.
Use performance and assurance data/insights to improve our processes.
Assist in scheduling and preparing materials for quarterly Risk & Assurance Committee (RAC) meetings.
Maintain and update assurance documentation and registers, including the Risk Registers and Inherit Category Risk Matrix (ICRM) tools.
2LOD Coordination (Light Touch):
Under the guidance of the Manager Assurance and Performance, perform annual light-touch second line assurance coordination to ensure alignment with the broader procurement function.
Assist in the implementation of 2LOD risk assessments and compliance checks to enhance operational effectiveness globally.
Risk & Issue Management:
Monitor risk registers for emerging issues, escalating and supporting issue resolution processes as needed.
Facilitate or participate in cross-functional discussions related to risk mitigation, internal audits, and compliance matters.
Proactively identify and escalate potential risks to relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely intervention and resolution.
Support the 3LOD Strategy Execution:
Assist in defining, rolling out, and maintaining the Three Lines of Defence (3LOD) framework across Global Procurement.
Coordinate with P2P and other functional teams to ensure assurance processes and controls are monitored, assessed, and continually improved.
Support the implementation of 3LOD-related initiatives to enhance procurement effectiveness and risk management.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
Engage with various procurement teams to gather information, validate data, and track progress on key performance metrics.
Provide clear, concise updates to the Manager Assurance and Performance, highlighting key findings or areas requiring attention.
Maintain strong communication channels across departments to ensure effective issue resolution and process improvement.
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Basic understanding of statistics and sampling methods.
Familiarity with procurement or supply chain processes, including an understanding of the Three Lines of Defence (3LOD) application.
Exposure to risk registers, assurance activities, or compliance audits.
Competent in data gathering, analysis (qualitative and quantitative), and dashboard/report creation.
Attention to detail and the ability to interpret trends or anomalies in data.
Strong communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. P2P, Category Management, Sustainability teams).
Comfortable coordinating small projects or tasks within a larger programme.
Proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks, gaps, or process inefficiencies.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, global procurement environment.
