Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.

Come and be a part of this success.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role supporting Digital Factory projects that fundamentally change BHP’s performance across safety, productivity, and people performance.  The Digital Factory is BHP’s approach to rapid design and development of digital products (software-focused, with minimal or no hardware) that provide solutions to operational challenges that are currently being addressed through manual methods.

The Business Analyst will be critical in the successful development and implementation of digital solutions and products, as each of these solutions are built on the effective understanding of user requirements. In this role you will be in one of the Digital Factory product teams, consisting primarily of software engineers, with some UX/UI designers, SMEs and a Product Owner.

Your primary responsibility is to help define business problems to enable insights and deliver business value. You will play a role in business case development, from understanding business processes to assessing the value proposition. You will utilise your communication and negotiation skills to manage stakeholder expectations, your analytical skills to pull insights from data, and your strategic thinking skills to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

You can work collaboratively with all product team members. You have practical experience evolving business requirements into functional specifications and can present recommendations in a clear, concise way that motivate and enable the team. You are unafraid to speak up to provide your input into approaches, designs, plans and estimates. You are interested in problem solving and storytelling across the full software development lifecycle.

You may have been working as a business analyst or similar for a few years. You are looking to work with a fun, high performing software development team where you can continue to develop your proficiency in business improvement.
