About the Role
We are seeking a Business Improvement Specialist to support the General Manager Infrastructure and Business Improvement as well as Individual Site General Managers to drive Business Improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Support to identify, quantify, prioritise and drive the implementation of Business Improvement initiatives across Whitehaven's portfolio of mines, development projects and support infrastructure needs for Whitehaven to consistently deliver sustainable value creation for shareholders
- Improve and embed Business Improvement capability, systems and processes for results measurement & tracking through identifying and coaching high potential personnel in standard BI tools, and methodologies
- Provide strategic advice to relevant stakeholders regarding appropriate Business Improvement targets and opportunities
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant Business Improvement activities
- Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant mining operations
- Business improvement qualification (desirable)
- Strong analytical skills
- The ability to draw insights from data analysis
- Stakeholder management skills
- Proven project management skills including demonstrated use of BI methodologies to deliver measurable results
- Proven leadership experience and an ability to work with diverse stakeholders on challenging projects
- A strong understanding of Management Operating Systems
- Strong commercial acumen so as to contribute to the development of individual business cases
- An ability to build and lead effective teams - even in cases where no structural authority exists
- Experience in delving Business Improvement within asset & capital-intensive industries - ideally in Mining
