About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Car Dumper, to join our team at our team, supporting both Cape Lambert and Dampier sites.

Reporting to the Manager Ports, your focus will be to manage the strategy, tactics, sustaining capital and major maintenance requirements for the department.

Duties will also include :

  • Optimise car dumper performance with a primary focus on developing and optimising asset strategy and tactics.
  • Manage and govern risk including recovering/repair methods and component life extension.
  • Plan 12M – 10YR Improvement program.
  • Own change management authority for Car Dumper assets and be the primary OEM supplier interface.
  • Establish targeted reports, roadmaps, and dashboards to articulate risk, plan, and priority.
  • Participate in safety investigations, prepare reports and recommendations, and implement corrective and preventative actions.

What you’ll bring

  • A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual)
  • Relevant engineering degree qualification
  • Comprehensive experience in asset management and project management principles
  • Experience in a Ports Engineering function
  • Demonstrated adaptability and ability to engage stakeholder groups
  • Experience in defect elimination processes and root cause analysis

Where you’ll be working

This role is being offered either FIFO from Perth or residential within Wickham or Dampier / Karratha – where you will support both Cape Lambert and Dampier Ports teams. This role will be offered on a 9 day fortnight roster – 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off.

Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
