Specialist Category Management – Decarbonisation, Energy & Power

Work Location: Fortescue Centre - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

An opportunity to play a key leadership role within Fortescue's Decarbonisation Energy & Power Team, you will be responsible for high value, business critical energy and power maintenance and supply contracts in support of energy operations, a fast paced and dynamic environment. The role will manage the procurement requirements in support of electricity generation and high voltage transmission assets in the Pilbara. The Specialist Category Management – Decarbonisation, Energy and Power will report to the Manager Category Management Decarbonisation, Energy & Power.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Develop procurement strategies in support of energy operations asset management requirements
  • Conduct source to contract activities including tender, evaluation, recommendation, contract drafting and execution
  • Perform Contract Management across various suppliers to maximise value, deliver enhanced commercial outcomes and innovative solutions
  • Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders across operations, projects and technology teams
  • Lead the commercial interface with relevant energy operations suppliers

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Contract drafting experience
  • Commercial acumen
  • Relevant experience in generation and transmission assets is preferable
  • Experience with a source to contract management system and ERP system is preferable
  • Demonstrate methodical approach, detail orientated and be a self-starter
