About the Role

The communications team delivers high value, timely communications and campaigns to reach our frontline and focussed on strategy priorities. As the Specialist Communications, you will report to the General Manager and work alongside the Principal Communications as part of the Global Communications team. You will be responsible for delivering and executing innovative, creative and effective communications strategies, developing a broad range of high quality content to engage stakeholders, and proactive involvement in issues management solutions. You will work closely with the Vice President, General Manager and senior leadership of NSW Energy Coal. In addition, you will also be responsible for:   •    Establishing and maintaining ‘trusted adviser’ relationships with key stakeholders at all levels in the business; •    Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of key portfolio areas and business requirements and proactively manage key issues and communications in a timely and effective manner;  •    Ensuring a strategic and planned approach to communication, issues and stakeholder management outcomes;  •    Delivering dynamic day-to-day communications and content across our channels and platforms; •    Working co-operatively and effectively in a dynamic work environment, with an ongoing focus on key priorities; and  •    Ensuring all communications content and materials are delivered in line with Our Requirements for Communications, Our Requirements for Market Disclosure, as well as Our Charter values and Global Communication Strategy Framework.

This role can be based at Muswellbrook or Newcastle with site travel 2-3 days a week.

About You

As a passionate communications professional, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills that you can utilise to deliver and execute high quality tactical, strategic and integrated communications products and plans across a variety of stakeholders, audiences, channels and platforms.  It is important that you are an experienced digital media operator. You are able to work independently and can manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment. By nature, you are at ease engaging and influencing people at all levels of the organisation to achieve results and can positively contribute to team culture. A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
