About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced underground Specialist Communications, to join our Operational Technology (OT) team at Olympic Dam.
Reporting to the Supervisor Technology Mine (A) this role will be responsible for providing operational support by maintaining plant, equipment and infrastructure to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes.
As a Specialist Communications you will be required to provide Level 2 support to on shift Technicians, implementation of improvement projects and provide coverage as required for the shift Supervisor.
This role is within the Underground Mine environment on a 7 Days, 7 off, 7 Nights, 7 off roster with the opportunity for either FIFO/DIDO or Residential in Roxby Downs.
Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Provide technical mentoring to Technicians and Apprentices
- Identification and implementation of maintenance execution improvement initiatives
- Provide coverage for supervisor duties as required
- Execution of the weekly work schedule and approved break in work
- Execute maintenance activities in accordance with the relevant HSE standards
- Assists in developing and enhancing task lists, work procedures and work instructions
- Demonstrate commitment to customer service both internal and external to the business
- Pursuing operating perfection in work practices and approach
- Reporting of events, work requirements and hazards in a timely and accurate manner
- Comply with the 1SAP Work Management processes
About You
- Trade Qualified in a field of Technology (eg. electronics, communication systems)
- Understanding of maintenance principles and practices
- Understanding of risk assessment and risk management
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Willingness and commitment to learn and develop
- Work well in a small team
- SAP experience advantageous
- Experience in the following technologies;
- Digital and Analogue Radio
- Leeky Feeder
- CCTV
- Networking
- Mobile Fleet Radio & Proximity
- Digital Phone
- PED
