Position Overview:

Perenti Contract Mining is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our global team. This role is accountable for supporting the Contract Mining division to deliver on effective internal and external communications. This role will focus on providing communication support and coaching to business leaders, and content creation and management.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality written content for various platforms, including newsletters, social media, and internal communications.
• Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and aligns with the Contract mining voice and guidelines.
• Ensure that work is proactively aligned to the content calendar to ensure timely delivery of communications.
• Proactively identify and recommend ways that content creation and management can be improved and streamlined.
• Coach leaders to ensure they are well prepared for major communications events.
• Partnering with global leaders to proactively support and guide the business on all communication activities.

Support the mobilisation and coordination of select external events and presentations, ensuring that the Contract Mining division is well represented, and attendees can speak with authority to the division’s agenda and priorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (Preferable)
• Proven experience in a communications role, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear and engaging content for diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced global environment.
