About the role

We have two unique opportunities to join the Communities and Social Performance function at a Specialist level. You will support and be an integral member of the Coastal Pilbara Communities team.

Broadly, within this role, your ongoing responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

  • Support the delivery of HSEC initiatives, the 5-year CSP Strategy, Site CSP Asset Plans and the Pilbara Communities Annual Plan
  • Build strong relationships with community stakeholders to identify needs and respond to issues / opportunities
  • Organise community events and festivals, including; management of contractors, logistics and internal and external communication
  • Support Pilbara based social investment through the Community Giving program, including managing strategic long term strategic partnerships with local stakeholders
  • Support stakeholder mapping activities, social risk assessments and engagement planning for coastal and inland communities as required
  • Respond to community and RTIO risks and issues (i.e., cyclones)
  • Respond to community enquires and feedback, including complaints and grievances
  • Represent Pilbara Communities at key community forums and key stakeholder engagements
  • Communication and storytelling to promote local community initiatives
  • Support data collection, validation and reporting

What you’ll bring

To be considered for this role, you will have a solid understanding and experience within local communities, working across various locations and have a passion for internal and external stakeholder partnering. You will ideally have exposure and comfortability surrounding the below :

  • Planning and Project Management
  • CSP Planning, Monitoring & Reporting
  • Community & Social Investment
  • Land connected / Indigenous People support
  • Government Relations
  • Community Partnership Agreement Management
  • Ability to manage complaints, grievance & issue management
  • Sound communication skills – verbal and written
  • Experience in Socio-economic baselines and social impact assessments / management programs

A unique town nestled in the heart of the Pilbara, bursting with opportunity to create a flexible lifestyle. Operate on 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off (9 day fortnight) roster.
