About the role

We are looking for a Contractor Management Specialist to oversee the administration of key operational and maintenance contracts and lead a small team of Contract management advisors. This role will ensure the measures of contract performance are in place and key performance indicators are reported and monitored with the support of our internal and external partners.

This position is a great opportunity to showcase an individual’s analytical and result driven expertise to ensure contractual obligations are met as well as build on your leadership skills and coach a wide group of people through Contract Management best practices.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on and 5/2, 4/3 or residential roster which will give you time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. 

Reporting to the Manager Operational Excellence you will;

  • Support, develop and lead your team of Contract management advisors
  • Work with internal and external partners
  • Ensure that the commercial requirements of the contracts are met.
  • Work closely with Procurement business partner on site, Labour and Maintenance, and Mining equipment category teams to maintain effective partnerships.
  • Monitor the operational performance of the contract partner and monitor the quality and standard of services delivered (including maintenance, inventory management and HSE performance).
  • Make recommendations, provide advice, support and on-going guidance around the standards, structure, capabilities, key practices, and critical controls required to deliver full contract value, in line with Operations, Contractor Management and Procurement category strategies.
  • Complete cost planning, monthly financial reporting, and full year cost forecasting.
  • Complete monthly claim analysis, month end reporting and reviewing monthly pricing reconciliations.
  • Provide input into contract variations, fact-based analysis and category strategies.

  • Current C Class driver’s license

Where you’ll be working

Tom Price is located in the central Pilbara, west of Karijini National Park and is our original Pilbara mine, currently employing residential and fly in fly out employees. It is known as one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with a high school, two primary schools a hospital and a high standard of recreational facilities.
