About the role 

We are looking for a Contractor Management Specialist to support delivery of Iron Ore’s contractor management strategy across Greater Nammuldi and engage suppliers working with the contractor management system as it improves and evolves. This position is offered Fly in Fly out on an 8:6 Roster.

In this role you will be responsible for assisting Company Representatives to improve business performance through transforming and continuously improving the contractor management system. The role will ensure business risks are identified and mitigated, system design and performance are lifted to adequately support Greater Nammuldi achieving excellence.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on and 8 & 6 roster with flexible working arrangements which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. 

Reporting to the Manager Operational Excellence, you will:

  • Ensure a sustainable system of leadership to assist GNAM Company Representatives in mentoring of contracting partners and subcontractors in all aspects of RTIO policies and procedures related to contractor work
  • Be responsible for the governance of contractor work compliance to the 5-step CM process and RTIO HSE standards and policies
  • Ensure Contractor Systems align appropriately with the business unit plans and assist in closing performance gaps
  • Make a substantive and value add contribution to the corporate contractor management and site teams on wider contractor management team matters.
  • Facilitates monthly contractor forums and review meetings

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience leading by example through safety, initiative and excellence
  • Ability to explore and analyse data from multiple sources such as SAP, PowerBi
  • A diverse skill set and experience in one or more of the areas of operational leadership, procurement, communities, HSE, HR or Business Improvement
  • A passion for working with people and driving genuine partnerships with our suppliers and stakeholders
