About the Role

As the Specialist Contracts in the Planning and Strategy team, you will play a vital role in the development and implementation of WAIO Contracts business strategies, tools, systems, and practices to drive maximum efficiencies and compliance to BHP Contract Management Framework and strengthen vendor relationships.

Accountabilities include:

  • Deliveries of WAIO Contracts Team Plan on a Page initiatives to drive productivity and the delivery of outcomes for the WAIO Asset.
  • Executions of the standardised and streamlined ways of working for the WAIO Contracts Team with supporting processes, procedures and technology solutions as required.  
  • Preparations of monthly reporting on Contractor performance provided to the Engineering Leadership Team and the WAIO Asset Level Team with supporting dashboard. 
  • Preparations of Communications for WAIO Contract Partners (External) and WAIO Contract Owners and Representatives (Internal) to disseminate business information in a professional and transparent manner including day to day management of the WAIO vendors Inbox.
  • Provision, preparation and delivery of high quality Contractor Forums.
  • Originates, develops, recommends and executes continuous improvement opportunities that are aligned with WAIO Contracts business plan and objectives.
  • Conducts presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.  
  • Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Ensures conformance with the BHP Charter Values, the BHP OR Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
  • Models an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.

Location

You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi-award-winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.

In this permanent full-time role, you will be working Monday – Friday and offers flexible work arrangements. Occasional site travel is required as necessary.   

About You

  To be successful in this role, you will have:

•    Demonstrated work experience with contract law or contract management. •    Tertiary qualification in Procurement/Engineering/Business/Law or similar experience within the mineral resources industry preferred. •    Exceptional engagement and collaboration skills in managing stakeholder relationships.  •    Interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.  •    Work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.  •    Strong multi-tasking and organisational management skills. •    Exceptional in the MS Office Suite of products. •    An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment and sustainable development
