About the Role
Our Maintenance Execution team are seeking a Specialist Contracts, Risk & Training to join their team based at our Caval Ridge Mine site on a 5:2 roster with flexible work and travel arrangements available.
Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Contracts this role is responsible for the effectiveness of the risk and training processes that underpin the successful application of the Contractor Management Framework (CMF) for contract partners engaged to perform work on site and will fulfil the duties and obligations as outlined in the CMF.
Key Accountabilities include:

Understand the impacts of training, coal legislation, and the contractor management framework, and apply this to site

Identify training and curricular needs for contractor onboarding

Support the onboarding mobilisation of new starters, identifying all curricular relevant to the contractor’s roles and scope of work

Coach and develop peers and stakeholders in identification/assignment of, and auditing of, curricular assignments

develop, update and work with stakeholders to continuously improve curriculum

Conduct curriculum assignment audits to ensure statutory and legislative compliance is met regarding certifications, licences, qualifications etc

Facilitate risk reviews, JSA/WRAC development

About You
To be successful in this role you will be a Collaborative and innovative individual who executes continuous improvement initiatives and conversations with strong problem solving and time management skills. You will have knowledge and experience in managing training systems in line with QLD coal mining & WHS legislation.
In addition to this you will also possess:

Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment

Ability to risk management processes RIIRIS301D (S1) and conduct safety and health investigations RIIWHS301D (S2)

Proficient in MS Office suite, Documentum, Tempo, SharePoint, and SAP/Fiori
-
A qualification in internal auditing and compliance is highly desirable

Willingness to lead and implement change, as well as influence and mentor others in training and safety principles and behaviours

Ability to build highly effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders and working groups
-
Strong business and customer orientation

Excellent facilitation, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
