About the Role
EMP CPPM is a new and innovative approaches to mine planning for stable, predictable business plan delivery. EMP CPPM specifically centres on managing the critical paths in execution using a project management approach to reduce variability and increase bottleneck performance, delivering stable mining operations for BMA. Our Enterprise Mining Probabilistic team (EMP) are seeking a CPPM Project Scheduler to join a technically motivated and results-driven team. Working within a core group, this role will ensure the delivery of quality Project Plans that will enable the execution of critical path activities. To achieve this, you will have responsibilities for:
- Development of a rolling 90-day project plan using CPPM methodology including all enabling activities with a focus of protecting critical path delivery.
- Successful integration of the 90-day project schedule with the 150-day plan
- Monitor and manage the performance of the plan using PDCA cycle, escalation protocol and associated TARPs.
- Identify and assess risk, make risk informed decisions and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Prepare return to work packs and support outputs for the CPPM Project Manager to deliver the 24hr plan
About You
We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership and communication skills. Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships and your ability to consolidate and analyse information will provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude. As the successful candidate, you will preferably possess the following:
- Practical mining experience
- A proven commitment to safety
- Ability to identify, engage and manage a range of stakeholders
- Exposure to key mining disciplines such as Drill & Blast, Truck & Shovel & Dragline Operations, that will allow you critically understand critical path variability and embed controls to protect and successfully execute the plan.
- Display a mind set of self-inquiry to seek ways to adopt and adapt best practices
- Experience in scheduling short term mine plans will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
