About the Role

As a Specialist Data Reporting, you will be responsible for supporting the Production Accounting System (Corvus) for BMA, including system configuration, data governance and standardisation and reporting. You will also act as a technical expert for the system and be the “data interpreter” to help users with system and data requests and needs.

Reporting to Manager Data & Reporting, your accountabilities include: 

  • Governance, maintenance and improvement of BMA’s Production Accounting System (Corvus).
  • Supporting Corvus users to use the system, including system trouble shooting, uploading of plan data, process activity configuration, reporting, data exports and data interfaces with other systems.
  • Supporting Corvus End of month processing.
  • Technical and business contact for Corvus, including engagement with external provider to deliver system improvements and supporting internal teams/projects to access Corvus data.
  • Provide insights into strategy for BMA production accounting and championing data quality within Corvus.

About You

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field or extensive experience related to Supply Chain Production Accounting.
  • Advanced experience working with a production accounting system (Corvus or similar) and its relevant audit compliance.
  • Microsoft suit and advanced SQL skills desirable.
  • Strong understanding of coal production accounting requirements including inventory reporting.
  • Extensive experience in the use and configuration of Corvus will be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to define causes and rectification within a day/week.
  • Understanding or experience with upstream/downstream processes (mining, logistics) and systems (FMS/plant/port) is deem advantageous.
  • Understanding or experience with production planning processes/systems, such as data exports/imports between systems, reconciliation of data to validate data completeness and accuracy and trouble-shooting issues will be beneficial.
  • Has the ability to lead and influence stakeholders regarding best practice of data management and production accounting.
  • Ability to be a “data interpreter” who can interpret ‘what the customer asks for’ into ‘what the customer needs’ or succinctly summarise data issues for escalation.
