About the Role

The Nickel West Data Analytics team sits at the heart of the Nickel West Integrated Operations department. We provide analysis and insights for the entire Nickel West supply chain, which makes our work dynamic and varied, with analysis covering several Mines, Concentrators, a Smelter and Refinery, and the Logistics systems that keep everything working together in harmony.

Responsibilities of this role include;

  • Use data science techniques to analyse supply chain performance and provide insights back to the business to drive productivity initiatives
  • Working with the broader Integrated Operations team to combine your Data Science skills with their Value Chain expertise, in order to solve complex problems and resolve answer business challenges
  • Supporting development of integrated planning and analytics tools to enable strategic decision making
  • Working with internal stakeholders to identify and implement improvement opportunities

Skills and Experience

Mandatory

  • Experience in programming language(s). Python experience will be well considered
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with data
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience with some of our development tools – Kedro, Git, MLFlow, PythonFlask, AnyLogic, SQL – desirable but not essential.
