About the Role

As part of the Enterprise & Global Corporate Functions Technology team, you will report directly to the Platform Lead for Workflow & Low-code Platforms, and will act as an SME in the DevOps team supporting operational stability, execution of governance tasks and processes, small development changes and project activities for BHP’s Non-ERP Platforms including Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Nintex O365 and Nintex Workflow Cloud. This role is based in Perth or Brisbane.

In this role, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Acting as an SME within the portfolio and working with the partner teams on new requirements and business cases, prioritisation of demand, reviewing designs for small changes, and providing functional or technical advice.  This may also require the need to liaise with internal solution design and architecture teams.
  • Ensuring the operational support and stability of the Applications and Platforms within the portfolio, in conjunction with our strategic partners, including escalations and transparent reporting to internal customers. Being embedded into project activities to ensure that requirements for operational supportability are adhered to for new applications and project service transitions to the relevant offshore team.
  • Working closely with the partner technical/functional teams to drive continuous improvements including automations and innovations
  • Working with partner teams to ensure correct prioritisation and balancing of work across the DevOps team.
  • Driving adherence to SOX / Audit Compliance & Data Privacy for all operational changes or small changes as a result of business demands.
  • Supporting Major Incidents (provide functional / technical expertise, coaching, stakeholder engagement/reporting, identify improvements and problem management)

About You

  • At least 5+ years relevant Technology experience with a Fortune 100 organisation and/or consulting environment
  • Development experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) and Nintex O365 and Workflow Cloud
  • Have certifications in Nintex (Practitioner/Expert) and Power Platform (PL-400)
  • High level of business analysis experience and strong customer engagement skills
  • Experience managing service providers and vendors in an outsourced environment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving issues to resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement, influencing skills and relationship building skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to effectively work in a diverse and globally dispersed virtual team environment

Desirable Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related (STEM) discipline is desirable.
  • Knowledge & practical experience in the area of Agile, DevOps methodologies and practices
  • Ability to lead change within BHP and partner ecosystem.
